What actually stops on August 31, 2026

Stocky's inventory features (purchase orders, receiving, stocktakes, and the barcode-label printing tied to them) go away with the app. Your product and variant data stays in Shopify: SKUs, barcodes, costs, and inventory levels live on your products, not inside Stocky, so they are not deleted. What you lose is the workflow that turned a received PO into printed labels. Replacing that workflow is the whole job, and it is smaller than it sounds.

Why move now instead of on the deadline

Two reasons. First, a receiving-and-labelling workflow is something you want to have tested on a real delivery before you depend on it, not discovered on the morning Stocky stops working. Second, exporting is easiest while Stocky is still running. Doing the cutover now, on a quiet week, means the deadline is a non-event.

Your cutover checklist

Export your Stocky data while the app still works. From Stocky, export your purchase orders and product list (SKU, barcode, cost, supplier) to CSV. This is your backup and the source for your first imports.
Install LabelCraft and confirm your barcodes. LabelCraft reads the barcodes already on your Shopify variants. Where a product has none, use “Generate missing barcodes” to create a valid EAN-13 (from your GS1 prefix) or an internal Code 128, with a dry-run preview before anything is written.
Import a purchase order or receiving list. Use LabelCraft's Stocky importer to drop in a PO or received-quantities CSV. It recognizes Stocky's export format, maps the columns, and never multiplies or guesses a quantity silently: anything ambiguous is surfaced, not assumed.
Print your first receive at the right size. Pick the template that matches your label stock, check the live preview and the scan-readiness verdict, then print at 100% scale. Labels come out exact to ±0.1 mm, and a barcode too narrow to scan is flagged before you print, never after.
Scan-test before the deadline. Scan a few of the labels you just printed to confirm they decode to the right SKU. Once one real receive has gone end-to-end, you are off Stocky for good.

What you keep, and what gets better

You keep exact-size labels for any printer (Dymo, Zebra, Brother, Munbyn, Phomemo, Avery sheets, or any custom size in millimeters), barcode generation from your own GS1 prefix, and a real receiving-to-label flow. What gets better: nothing is ever silently dropped - a missing barcode, a label that won't fit, or a barcode too small to scan is shown to you before the print, which is exactly the class of problem that made labelling from the old tools frustrating.

Frequently asked at cutover time

Will I lose my barcodes when Stocky shuts down?

No. Barcodes live on your Shopify product variants, not inside Stocky. They stay exactly where they are. LabelCraft reads them straight from your catalog.

Do I have to migrate everything at once?

No. Start with your next real delivery: import that one PO, print its labels, and scan-test. You can move historical data at your own pace - the only hard date is August 31, 2026 for Stocky's own features.

What if a product has no barcode yet?
